Education
Records

Wolverhampton Archives
and Local Studies holds a variety of education records but it is
the records of schools that are most useful to family historians
as they are likely to include information about individuals.

Junior School, Mr Davies' class 1916
The records of a large
number of schools in the present Borough are available at Wolverhampton
Archives and Local Studies. Some relate to schools that have long
closed and many date back to the late nineteenth century. Records
relating to individuals may have to remain confidential for a set
period of time. This means that access to some school records could
be restricted.
